 Travel "How to get there"
The closest international airport is Palanga, about 30 km north from Klaipėda. From Klaipėda, Neringa can be reached by car and pedestrian ferries; regular buses commute between the ferry terminals and the town of Nida. More detailed information including bus and ferry timetables and fares will be available later. As of 1 January 2015, Lithuania has the Euro.

Shuttle buses between Palanga Airport and Nida will be organized for daytime flights only as there is no ferry to the Curonian Spit at night. Arrivals at night need to stay overnight in Palanga or Klaipeda. Shuttles will be organized also for return travel on Friday and Saturday. Participants interested in the shuttle service are requested to send their arrival and departure times at Palanga Airport to balticearth@hzg.de.

There are international flights to Palanga Airport from/via Copenhagen, Oslo and Riga.

Nida is the touristic hotspot of the Curonia Spit and features many Hotels, Appartements and Guest Houses, as well as a large camping site and caravan park.
