Registration and Fees

Please read this page carefully!

Conference participants must register online via a dedicated registration website provided by NemTilmeld. Fee payment is due at the time of registration. Please note that you can also book a room at the Konventum through the registration form.

Registration and Payment Deadline extended: 14 May 2018, 10:00

The late conference fee is 400€ for full delegates.
Students pay 200 €. Confirmation of student status required (student ID or similar); please send to: balticearth@hzg.de.

Fee payment is compulsory by credit card at time of registration. No other payment methods or later payments will be accepted.

The conference fee covers the conference venue, the abstract proceedings volume, the Ice Breaker, morning and afternoon coffee and refreshments, daily lunches and the conference dinner.

Accomodation is to be booked and payed by participants on individual basis. Very convenient accomodation directly at in the Konventum Conference Centre can be booked directly through the NemTilmeld registration form (see below).

Registration procedure in NemTilmeld

Registration and fee payment will be done through the NemTilmeld Online System. Payment is compulsory at time of registration, and only credit cards are accepted (Visa, MasterCard). Before starting the registration process, be sure to have the following information at hand:

- your credit card information.
- your institution´s VAT ID Number. If you do not know this number, ask your administration. In the unlikely event that your institution does not have a VAT ID Number, please contact the secretariat (balticearth@hzg.de) before you start the registration.
- have decided on the participation in the excursion (30€, see below).
- have decided on on joining the conference dinner on Thursday evening (included in the fee, no extra fee for registered and paying participants). Extra accompanying persons (who are not taking part in the conference and have not payed the fee, e.g. spouses) must pay 57€.

Accomodation
Optionally, we have reserved a number of standard single and double rooms at the Konventum Conference Centre for a special rate. This is very convenient as it is located in the Conference venue. We recommend to book this accomodation through the NemTilmeld registration process.

Excursion

The excursion will be on Tuesday 12 June in the afternoon, and we will visit Kronborg which is a castle and stronghold in the town of Helsingør. Immortalized as Elsinore in William Shakespeare's play Hamlet, Kronborg is one of the most important Renaissance castles in Northern Europe and is a UNESCO's World Heritage Site (see also the conference banner at the top of this page). We will have a guided tour through the castle. The excursion is not included in the conference fee and must be booked and payed online via the NemTilmeld registration site during the registration process (30€).

Support

Partial travel support may be available for first authors. If you ask for support, please include your support application and CV to balticearth@hzg.de with your abstract (latest by 2 March). If you have already submitted your abstract, send an e-mail indicating your request and refer to your abstract. Only first authors are eligible for support, and not all requests may be satisfied due to limited funding. Final decisions will be after the abstract reviews.
